I don't think that not wanting to take drugs or smoke is a "little girl" thing. Some people start smoking much early. And I definetly DO NOT think that smoking is a sign of maturity in any way, quite the opposite actually! resisting the temptation, remaining with your principles and caring about your health IS a sign of maturity. I would react in exactly the same way if I were in your place.
