My friend is 17 and likes guys aged between around 12 and 16, what's your opinion do you think it's normal?

13yo female is acceptable up to maybe 16-18, depending upon a few things (nature of relationship, social acceptance of age gap in your area/in your family, and how physical/sexual the relationship is). Did you ever get with a guy in your 15-24 range when you were 13? It's hard to tell if it's normal without more details.

When you're 16, you're not far off having the physique of an adult.
When you're 12, you may not have even hit puberty.
So your friend isn't particularly normal for liking guys who essentially resemble children (12 year olds), but perfectly normal for liking guys within a couple of years of her age 15,16).
Of course, she can't choose who she's attracted to. But I'd strongly recommend she never goes for any guy who is below the age of consent.
Hopefully she isn't exclusively attracted to guys that age, or she's going to have problems forming relationships the older she gets - and possibly risk breaking the law by abusing a child.
