Maybe he has been feeling sad lately. He might not feel like socializing with people at the moment.
Maybe he has an issue with you for some reason. You may have done something that he didn't appreciate.
Also, he could be addicted to the internet/video games now. He might just want to be on his laptop all of the time doing whatever be wants.
You won't know if you are unable to have a serious conversation with him. He might be going through some sort of phase or something, I'm not sure. There could be a number of explanations!
