I would gladly do this for any of my friends and I wouldn't think I had better things to do. You just have to have real friends that you've known for a while and can trust- who respect you enough to respect the love that you have for your dog. What makes you think everyone is capable of finding friends like that? Also, what makes you think those friends will be available?
Why would you risk your animal's safety to someone who isn't liable for their actions just because you think you can trust them- especially when there are places that can are legally obligated to care, or family that can bring said animal into their home?
My friend didn't let my dog out for 2 days. What would you do or say?
