My friend always shows really strong affection

Am really confused because my lifelong friend always hugs and kisses me on the cheek and she is really sweet and i dont think she means anything by it but my cousin saw her kiss me when i got out the car and he asks me "who's your babe" i told him shes my friend but i just dont know now am confused?

Is It Normal?

    Could be cultural...lot of European and Middle Eastern cultures routinely greet and say goodbye to friends like this.

    Same problem with me and my friend. I asked her about it, she explained and now I'm letting her hug me in public. *sigh* I get embarrassed by it still, but she's my friend. She might just be expressing extreme affection. Some of my other friends are like that as well with me. But you won't really be sure if you don't ask, so ask her.
