My ex-friend wins animals trust then hurts them

He thinks it’s funny to pet them and say “aww, how cute” win his trust then he’ll punch or kick them hard and yell “get the fuck out of here” and they run away in fear. He’s not really my friend anymore. Is this normal for a 20 yr old or should I be concerned for people around him?

    I'd love to meet that friend of yours, grab him, twist his arm behind his back, so he can't do anything and punch him in the head with his other hand repeatedly, while I loudly exclaim "Stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!"

    That's pretty fun too...

    Or you could just call the police.
