  • After she goes, don't rush the grieving process. It'll take time. Don't ever question if you've been too sad for too long, or try to force yourself to be happy before you're ready, or try to act like everything's okay when it's not. This is true when anybody dies, but I think it's especially important to remember when it's a pet...you're losing a member of the family. It's okay to grieve just like you would losing anybody else you love. Unfortunately, I don't know if there's any specific advice I can give you, it's a different process for everybody. Just surround yourself with people who love and will support you through it.

    But, I do have some advice for you right now. Make the most of the time you have left with her. Make as many good memories as you can and keep her as comfortable and happy as you can for as long as you have left. That's all you can do right now.
