I can understand where you're coming from; I'm not on good terms with my dad either. I can't shake this itch though that you're just a kid and don't really understand how much work it is to be a father, and a good one at that. If anything you don't have to love him, but as you said he works hard to provide for your family, so I think that he at least deserves your respect.
My dad's an idiot, I can't bring myself to love him as a parent, HELP!
