My dad does not allow me to sleep at night

We live in affordable housing that used to be a motel and we share a bed. He's a drunk and stays up all night watching TV and waking me up to get him snacks or cigarettes from the liquor store. And he smokes inside which fills the room up with smoke and irritates my lungs. The only time I can get decent sleep is during the day when he's at his part-time job. We both have felony records so neither one of us can get a job with a living wage so it's either this or homelessness.

    you all might be able to afford a decent living situation if he didnt spend so much money on munchies, cigs, and alcohol.. thats an unhealthy lifestyle in general.

    Sounds to me like a shelter might be better than the 2nd hand smoke crap. That's just fucking rude. Tell him he's being rude and take the shit outside, or let him go get his own nails for his coffin. (The drink and smokes). But stand up for yourself, so you help with rent ? If so then you have the right to ask (tell) him to take the nasty shit outside. If you leave he will either go without, or have to go get them himself.

    Just apply everywhere literally just down the list on Indeed and eventually you'll get an interview, dress and act nice and eveeeentually you will get a job. Not a great job, but one with enough $ to move out but not too much that you cant get assistance anymore

    What did you get your felonies for? Also if you went to be drunk then maybe you could sleep better? Or how about getting a night job, so you can sleep in the day that way, when he's not making noise.

    Do another felony and get free room and board from the state for 5 to 10. I bet your father won't bother you there. But you might wind up someone's bitch. Maybe a good trade off to get some sleep.
