My current job

I work as a dish washer in a restaurant, on most days and especially the weekend the job is pretty hard but the boss is very respectful and so are the kitchen workers, they cook me several meals a day when i ask, but outside of work, when people ask me what do i do for living im sometimes ashamed to say i wash dishes, especially when talking to girls, what do you think?

We all can't be rocket scientists. If you enjoy what you do and it makes decent money what's wrong with that? If a woman rejects you for that she is very shallow and you're better off without her.

Make it sound way more complex than it actually is, then you guys can have a laugh about it. Women like it when you are unabashed, it shows confidence.

It would not be a turn off for me. Anyone who works an honest job is doing the right thing imho.

You're doing an honest job. That's a good thing. If a woman gives you a hard time about your job, they're not really worth talking to.

I would much rather a poor hard working partner, than a bum or a hustling slickster, any day of the week.

Lots of successful people started out as dishwashers or other low-end job. You got to start somewhere. On the other hand if you're 40...

I work as a cashier in a grocery store, so I feel the same way, all the time. I can get very defensive about it, and I immediately start talking about how I technically still have a semester of college left whenever the subject comes up.

I tried being a 'dish pig" for one day and have had huge respect ever since for people who do it as a living: very hard work physically, to the point where I was so tired I broke lots of plates. I also hated throwing out good food the boss wouldn't let me take home for my chooks.

I work on adult sex phone lines and occasionally cop shit for that but I don't care, it keeps a roof over my head and I can choose my own working hours and do it from home.
