My current bf sent me a photo of my ex and his new gf

Whenever my BF and I fight, he always brings up my recent Ex. So today's fight wasn't an exception. He opened up about my ex (whom I don't have any updates or communication with, by the way). He asked me if I knew that my ex has a new GF and how she looks like. I said I didn't and I don't care. Suddenly, he sends me a photo of my ex BF with his new GF.

I'm just curious what this act means. I believe he thinks he can hurt me with that because he often tries to hurt me intentionally. I don't know how to react.

    This means he’s an awful person who makes the lowest blows he can think of in his attempts to hurt you. Seriously, with a vicious boyfriend like this who needs enemies?

    The correct reply to that stunt would have been, “Well at least he has a girlfriend, unlike you.”

    Idk if a person like that can be fixed into being tolerable to live with. You're just wasting your time by being in the relationship.

    Thank you, everyone for the comments! I highly appreciate them all. I can't explain in detail what happened after this post, but the we just ended the relationship, and I felt like a heavy weight was just lifted off my shoulders.

    I blocked him on my social media, and he just kept texting and calling me on my phone which I all ignored.
