My controlling gf

So my GF is a little controlling, I cant ever hangout with friends or do anything that I like to do, She lives a lil far away so it can be time consumming for me when i work 5-6 days a week and always come up on my day off. And anytime i want to do sumthing i like she gets mad an threatens to break up with me.

I cant leave her i just love her to much.

Is this normal and what should i do?

    Let's get rid of that word 'love'. What you have is security and you don't want to leave it. That's what controllers and abusers exploit. She isn't going to change; you can only change yourself by taking a leap into the unknown by leaving that situation. What really eats at you is that you haven't made the decision to do so. But do you want to get deeper into this? Get married and have to divorce to make your life better? The deeper you get, the harder it is to get out.

    I think she's insecure and I assure that she loves you as well. Yes, she is possessive but people get over that and regret.

    Why would you stay with someone who does not let you enjoy your life?
