I have a pomeranian male and a female cat. I came home from work ans the dog was humping my cat last week. I sprayed them with water and separated them. I've caught them 5 times now. IIN?
One of my rabbits used to hump all 3 of my cats, it did't even seem to care whether they were male or female.
I don't think ive ever seen a Pomeranian not hump something. It's in their blood.

My dog and cat do the same thing and I just let them, because a dog can't get a cat pregnant!

My female dog, humps my cats..... I asked a trainer, they said it was a form of the dog seaking domenance over the cat. So a dog will do it more if they feel the cat is loved more by the owner. While looking up dog behavior one day, I found that dogs see the pack leader as someone who can "leave the pack" so like when you go to work, you are leaving the pack and coming back. since you have more power this is acceptable (reason why some does have seperation anxiety, they feel they are the pack leader yet their owner just left leaving them confused). So if your cat is an inside/outside cat your dog could be confused why the cat can roam more than it.
George Carlin used to have a slide show at the end of his act showing his male dog humping his male cat. He joked about the gay, interspecies love. The funny thing was the blissed out look on the cats face.
Being someone who had owned probably over 20 dogs and 35 cats in his lifetime, I have never even remotely seen any of this kind of behavior between the two different animals. Voted not normal.
