Unsung is right. I just saw something on that show "The Doctors". Apparently they come out of your body at night and lay eggs outside your anus. They said to put a piece of tape across to pick up the eggs, take them to the Dr and he'll look under a microscope to ID the eggs. I can't remember if they said the mom was supposed to go in and do the tape thing WHILE the kid was asleep, or if you [as an adult] can do it before you go to bed...
icky, but that's what they said. They also said it was very common to have them- especially kids.
Other thing- keep baby wipes in the bathroom and use them- TP does not clean as well as you might think. That's why Europe has Bidet's... to WASH instead of just wiping. We use TP and wipes.
