Because you live alone should be good enough reason to why you have safety cameras set up. It just happened to catch him in some act. I don't know much about them, but you can find plenty of info online. I wouldn't put an actual camera in the room that he could possibly find snooping around. They have tiny cameras that can hide just about anywhere.
