I wonder how many men in a committed relationship would actually go through with it.

You need to ask him the very question you have put forth. It could be that you are enough for him, and he was sharing a very common desire. It could also mean that he is a selfish, insensitive pig who places his own sexual gratification above your feelings.

Exactly. Sharing is such a big risk.
Although... I disagree about the whole "places his own sexual gratification" part. Not all MFF threesomes are about a man being serviced by two women.
It can easily be played as a man servicing two women as they pleasure each other too. ;-)
