We've been together for 7 years, he was damn hot when he was 18-22, then he started getting fatter and fatter and growing ugly beards, he's also done drugs and has abused alcohol which has ruiend his looks even more. He could be a total hottie but he doesn't put effort into his looks, is it normal? He still looks decent but only because he's hot by default, I don't like him as much as I liked him before.
He's doing a Leo DiCaprio basically.

Is It Normal?

    Hey he's more concerned with abusing internal damage so why would he care what happens to the outside. He doesn't know his self worth maybe or maybe he's depressed

    Tell him that his slipping outward appearance is not attractive. It may hurt his feelings but communication is key. Just say it loud, clear, firm but nice. You deserve nice things!

    Totally sad. If you can't help him get off the alcohol and drugs he may only get worse until you dislike him completely.

      I honestly do not find him attractive anymore, the only reason that I'm still with him is that I'm in love, but I no longer like how he looks. His eyes are still the same as before and so is nose, but all his face is under a kg of fat and he's not attractive anymore. There's many guys out there who would date me and I do not know whether I should wait for him to slim down or just move on. He acts like he doesn't care about himself.

        He needs to get the memo or you'll have to move on. If he doesn't improve you'll eventually regret staying with him and not finding someone better

    Tell him you aren't as attracted to him as you used to be, for the reasons you listed. See what happens.
