Forget the trolling kids. If he likes you he will show it. And not always in obvious ways. He may not have been in a serious relationship before so he doesnt know how to handle these types of things yet. He could think 3 months is too soon. He may be more comfortable after 6 or so. I know i never gave anything significant until after the first year. Mostly because i was unsure of how the relationship would progress and didnt want to rush things or risk screwing up with a crappy gift before feeling secure. Either way I'd just give it time.
