My boyfriend calls me by his ex's name during sex.

My boyfriend of 3 months has always liked to treat me well during sex. He massages me and then goes down on me, you know the good stuff. But when it comes to the real sex he likes to choke me and call me by his ex's name. Although when he say's her name, he often follows by saying "you whore". I've told him that I don't enjoy being roughed up and talked down to during sex. He said that he calls me "Kim" during sex because she was the "best" he ever had. This happened last Tuesday and I haven't spoken with him since. I often wonder if guys typically say this stuff to their girlfriends because he is the first boyfriend I have ever had. I'm only 19 and I'm not trying to sound like an idiot but it's really weird to have a boyfriend and I don't know what to do with this exactly.

Seriously, you said you haven't spoken to him since last Tuesday so why don't you just show yourself some love and self respect by just not ever speaking to him again? Make this guy your ex.

      Personally, I can't imagine any scenario in which choking would ever be okay. Sure there are people who think that kind of stuff is kinky or whatever, but it's stupid as far as I'm concerned. If OP was a friend or relative of mine I would say, "muthafuckin RUN!!!", get the hell out of there and away from that piece of shit so called boyfriend.
      
      I'm happy, proud and grateful to say I've never been abused that that. Yeah, honestly I would call the cops. Choking is NOT okay!

    I was really more being silly than anything else, but paranoid... please, there's nothing good about a person who would call someone by their ex's name and then abuse them. There's nothing paranoid about not wanting to put up with that garbage!

The two of you have established a precedent. He likes to choke you while having sex, and you apparently enjoy it because you continue to have sex with him, (if you do). In the future, any time he wants to get rid of you, trade you in for a newer model, or upgrade you to somebody like his ex who is so good at sex, all he has to do is choke you a "little too much" during those passionate moments when you're both out of control and claim it was an accident! It's happened before!
