My boyfriend and i share the same products?

My boyfriend and I live together and we share the same hygiene products with eachother. We tend to just buy male hygienic products. It saves us a lot of money to just share everything with each other rather than buying separate stuff. I prefer men's stuff anyways as I find women ones are expensive.I'm also not a huge fan of the girly scent on most female products. I've never thought it was weird but I've had friends come over and wonder why I only have guy products( besides tampons, obviously) Now I'm wondering if this is strange behaviour. Does anyone else do this to save money?

There isn't much reason to separate products by gender, other than for marketing purposes. Most stuff is interchangeable.

For example soap, shampoo, shaving foam, deoderant etc.

I disagree, women require way more work to not age.

Sunscreen, retinoids and moisturiser are the best things to stop you aging. They don't need to be gender specific at all.

Your friends are willing victims of manipulation by the huge corporations that produce gender-specific hygiene products; you are not.

    End of story.

As long as the products are of good or high quality - no problem at all.

I used certain skin care and cosmetic products for years until the brand came out with some specifically for men.

There is no excuse for the pink tax.

    • I really don’t understand why they have a higher tax rate for female products. It’s just sexist. Not to mention most female hygiene products come in smaller packages but have more of a price range.

I don’t like female scents and also I like being able to smell what he smells like when we’re not together.

    • Me too. It smells a lot cleaner, not like you’re trying to cover up a scent with flowery perfumes that last for 10 seconds.

Nothing wrong with that but I could never. My boyfriends stuff is absolute shit.

    • Haha that’s awful. My boyfriend mainly gets old spice, it’s got a nice smell to it.

So your boyfriend is a dude who has the same preoccupations as IIN's phantom poop-poster, but your guy takes it to a new level of dedication by using shit as shampoo and body-wash?

lol that sounds cute even, "gendered" hygiene products don't make sense so go full speed ahead
imagine someone making pink toothpaste from roses or smth and call it the toothpaste for her™

Sounds normal, but what difference does it really make financially? If you had separate products wouldn't you still be using the same amounts?

you should use what you want, personally I find the male scents, especially AXE stinks! I buy women's scents as that is what I prefer. so to each their own.
