My boss accused me of making the place smell bad?

The store I work in started to smell I noticed it near the back entrance but just thought someone farted then walked towards the front and my co-worker says it smells like shit over here. I realized it's the same smell then customers started complaining. One of my co-workers got our manager and my manager pulled me aside and said if I did anything he will find out and fire me.

Now I legit was outside the building at dinner next store in a sandwich shop and left and came in the back entrance yet it smelled worse in the front of the store and he blames me. Gave me an attitude then I heard him talking to the other manager saying that I must be doing it as a prank and I must be crazy.

I'm 24 female mind you and have never played a prank on anyone in my life and this upset me because I was nowhere near the front entrance and if they checked the cameras they'd see that.

My manager then proceeded to follow me around smelling me and watching me from afar as if he suspected me.

I've never felt so humiliated. Is it normal

    If you actually haven't done anything then get in touch with head office and let HR know he's harassing you and you would like them to intervene to stop him.

    Idk why he's singling you out. Maybe you should have a 1 on 1 with him and tell him you really arent the one doing it and it upsets you that he's blaming you. Tell him to put the shoe on his foot and ask how he'd feel if someone accused him of doing something he didnt do.

    Someone above suggested telling HR. Id try to avoid that if I can. That will put you straight on the shit list going there and will keep away opportunities for you to move up. You need to make friends in high places not piss them off.

    I can completely understand you feeling humiliated. It sounds like you should be looking for another place to work.

    Is it possible you've been set-up by one or more of your co-workers? It's odd how one of them spoke to management and they immediately settled on you as the culprit.

      At the risk of outraging some members, I have to say that I wonder if the person in that video was born with female genitals.

      The clothing is what women normally wear, but the gait and posture somehow seem masculine to me.

      Totally irrelevant, of course. What the person did is disgusting, and I think I have a pretty high threshold for that judgement.
