How many poly people in active relationships have you known personally?
I'm poly, and I promise you, there are A LOT of people in the world emotionally secure and mature enough to successfully navigate these types of relationships. Most just avoid proselytizing about it, unlike the way we're all indoctrinated into monogamy.
Polyamory is definitely not for everyone, and I blame religious brainwashing beginning in early childhood, and Disney indoctrination teaching us about "the one." Of course most people trained thus will be ill-equipped to be other.
We're taught to view relationships with the eyes of ownership, suspicious of outliers. From my perspective, it's a damn shame. The divorce rate would likely go down dramatically if people would learn to open their minds and hearts to the possibilities.

I only know my personal experience with it. Out of several women who claimed they were poly, only one didn't get jealous.
Including current relationships.

I don't fault that stuff. Insecurity and jealousy are pretty innate human emotions.

Not as much as you think. Much of that is learned behavior.
