  • You need to stop being on his case about smoking cigarettes if he's trying to stay sober!!

You can get over him smoking cigarettes!

Alcohol can ruin things and is way more likely to kill him sooner than cigarettes!!

Maybe once he's had a full 5 or 10 years clean and sober from alcohol and drugs then maybe he will have the willpower to try to cut back on cigarettes

He can always try vaping if he want to try to cut back - I have an ex boyfriend who tried that

But be a supportive girlfriend and tell him that you are proud of him being sober from alcohol and you want to encourage that - and that as long as he stays clean and sober from alcohol you won't complain about his smoking anymore - and promise that you won't make a big deal about it or even complain when he smells like smoke -

Maybe then he will come around to deciding when to quit on his own!

You catch more flies with honey!!!!

    • Stop trying to spread smoking. It is more harmful and dangerous even than alcohol. You don't know what you're talking about.

      • Alcohol is way more dangerous than smoking, ya never hear that someone beat a guy to death because they were under the influence of cigarettes

        • Dangerous to the user, in the likeliness of health problems being caused, and their severity. Not the danger the user poses to others. I agree alcohol is more dangerous in the sense that a person who drinks heavily can become belligerent, while cigarettes wouldn't effect behavior in this way.

      • The negative effects of both of these are exaggerated greatly by repressed nuns and boring prude people who just hate smoking cigarettes and drinking.

        • You are simply denying/ignoring data.

If you worked in a hospital you would not hold this opinion.
