Yes and no.. kinda sounds like a bit of a spoiled guy??
I'm 26.. not going to uni but certainly wouldn't expect my parents to pay for shit like that for me at this age... but it is fair enough he wants to focus on his study though

Normal. His parents are paying for his schooling. Back off and let him concentrate on his studies. What are YOU doing?

If he's fortunate to have parents that can help pay his way through school, that's awesome. Not everyone has that. As someone who had to take out tons of loans and work through school - I would have done so much better if I didn't have to work. There's nothing wrong with not having a job while in school if you don't need to. Plus, he's working on his education so that he can potentially make more, what's wrong with that?

From experience, it's actually really, really hard to do university and a job at the same time, and it's really, really hard to get many kinds of jobs without a university degree. If he needs his parents' help while he's a student, he's normal, not a slacker. In fact, my university expressly forbade working and studying at the same time. I'm in my late twenties too by the way, and have just left my first graduate job. I had untold problems finding employment before I got it it, and just had to persevere.

My question is why he's only finished community college at 26 - did he leave school early, or did he just have to re-sit school so much that he ended up never leaving it until now...? If he left school early, why? What did he do between leaving school and going to community college? Is going to university an attempt to improve his prospects further? That could shed light on whether he's going in an upwards direction or a downwards one, which I think is much more important than the present situation taken by itself. If going to university is a step in the process of getting him into work, be patient with him. He wants to make things better and he's determined. He'll need support while he studies; that's why most people in the UK at least take out a student loan and a grant, and cash in on whatever bursaries or scholarships they can.

Not everyone follows the same path and can be independent at the same age and there can be all kinds of reasons for that. The important thing is that he manages it eventually. Of course, if the situation doesn't improve after he graduates, then by all means start asking questions about whether he will be able to support your future family...

Wow whats your idea of a real man then? Probably a woman beater who works on a construction site and drinks everyday. At least this guy is pursuing something worthwhile, is that not admirable in its self? Tbh he should dump OP he is 26 and she 18 he could do with out her and focus on uni and find like minded people instead of this bitch
