My 15 year old girl touches and fingers herself around the family?

She doesn't do it obviously, but when we are watching TV together I notice her touching herself down there, most of the time with a blanket covering herself, but something just with her hands in her pants. Does this happen to anyone else?!?!?! I know I wouldn't have even though about it at the age

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I would ask her to leave the room.

  • It is weird that she is doing in front of others. You need to tell her that she do that when she's alone or that she needs to take it to another room, like her bedroom or the bathroom.

  • this IS weird, it makes me wonder if she's been molested to be acting like this in front of family

  • I think this is very normal for youths. Anywhere between 10 and 17, depending on puberty and sexual maturity. I certainly wouldn't make a big deal of it and she should stop in time. If she's still doing it overtly at 18, I be a bit concerned.

    • You're kidding! You must be...a 15 year old naughty touching in front of others? At that age she should have some sense of what constitutes private time.

NOT NORMAL! You need to have a long, awkward talk with her about what's appropriate in public, OP.

      • From what I read, she does it under a blanket and unobtrusively. That's pretty common, I think. Perhaps she's a bit of a late bloomer.
Don't be rude countess, you know damn well I'm not 15 anything.

        • I'm not trying to be rude, mr...I just think it's completely batty for someone that age to be engaging in self pleasure in front of other people, especially when she should know better by the age of 15...not to mention the fact that she is perfectly capable of taking it to her own bedroom or to the bathroom. We might have to agree to disagree on this one, sailor ;)

Oh...and I meant the girl in question is 15, not you.

          • "We might have to agree to disagree on this one", fair enough.
I just hate to see some poor, confused 15 year old getting a complex, because of some overly Puritanical parent.
