What exactly is umami? I've tried Googling it, but it basically says savory, which I've always associated with salty, but they say it's different from salty.
I've never cooked with MSG, myself. Not sure why, I guess I just never really thought about it! I do love flavorful foods and tend to load my meals with fresh herbs and spices, though. 😋
