It all depends on the two of you. 8 months sounds perfectly reasonable to me... Is this your first time living with a boyfriend? Do you see a future beyond just living together? Does he? Make sure you both are going into this with the same understanding. If you are wanting to get married someday and he isn't, you may want to re-think this. If he wants to live together for a couple of years and then maybe talk about marriage and you agree with that, it's all good! Communication is the key to all successful relationships. Know what you are getting into before hand, make sure you are both on the same page and want the same things.
