  • Why would a guy be stealing necklaces and dresses? Even when I make it obvious that I’m female, people on here still assume I’m a dude 😂

    • Here is the thing - eventually you will get caught stealing and trust me, retailers LOVE catching thieves.

At a store, you can accidentally break shit and nothing will be said. You can be a bad customer, whatever.

But the moment they catch you stealing, they really enjoy it. It would be like if you caught a rat or mouse who had been ruining stuff in the pantry. You catch it and the critter is going to have hell to pay.

You ever talk to someone who had something stolen? They often say, "I would live to catch the son of a bitch who did it..."

You might want to break your habit of stealing right now. Once you get caught, you are fucked.

      • I like to tell myself that everything I’ve ever done in my life has turned out fine so why wouldn’t this? I’ve done it loads of times and not been caught.

Plus if I’m caught, the fact that I’m a small, young, female means people automatically view me as non threatening and trustworthy so I’ll just pretend to cry, say I forgot to pay by accident and offer to pay for it all.

    • According to a documentary I watched once, statistically more women shoplift than men.

      • Depends on the source of info whether it is more men or women. Plus typically women shop more so it would make sense that more women shoplift.

I looked it up about who shoplifts more and the reports seem to be all over the place. Some say men, some women, some older, some younger... Seems inconclusive.

Even data about likelihood to be caught is odd, one report said chances of getting caught are 1 in 48 but if someone ISN'T caught, how would they make it into a statistic in the first place?

Two facts cannot be argued - it is not worth the risk plus if one is caught, the store is not going to be nice about it.

        • As someone with personal experience, it most definitely IS worth the risk.

      • Probably true. Things that women want (clothes/makeup/jewellery) are all really overpriced and easy to steal.

    • You're not worth the mental energy. I dont care what gender you are. If you arent still living with mommy you're a low rent paying bitch. Probably gonna get a neck tattoo if you dont already have one and work a great career at taco bell.

      • I’m a student so my rent is pretty low but I have a job and pay my bills. Everyone likes having nice things, especially when they’re free

        • It’s not free you nutcase it’s stolen lmao.
If you can’t afford nice things you don’t deserve nice things

          • I’m getting an education so I can get a career where I’ll make enough to buy expensive things. But for now, my students loans and part time job don’t leave me with enough money to spend on expensive clothes and jewellery which I could literally just walk out of the shop with. Also it’s kinda fun to see what I can get away with taking.

            • Then wait until you can earn what you have?? You sound very simple minded and not in a good way. The whole point of being successful is getting what you want, you have to work towards that.
Buy yourself fancy clothes when you’re successful. Dumbass.

              • Your comment doesn’t really make any kind of point and you can’t seem to understand the difference between having something now (for free) and having something in years when I can afford it. Also all you’re really doing is trying to childishly insult me so you sound pretty simple minded to me.

            • Good luck with your career once you have a criminal record for stealing. Might as well stop going to school now because you're wasting your money.

              • Lots of stores won’t prosecute if what you steal is worth less than $50 so most of the time I don’t have to worry. But when I’m stealing larger/more expensive items I find the CCTV blind spots to put things in my bag and I have magnets to remove security tags in dressing rooms.
