I can't say that this is either normal or not normal. If this only happened one time, then I can't say whether or not this was an isolated event or the start of ongoing behavior. Your boyfriend may have just been really tired or perhaps he was afraid that his morning breath would offend you. With all that said, I must say that morning wood sex is the best sex a guy can have so your boyfriend should at least give it a shot.
