I've been with my boyfriend for a year. He's totally sexy and has an amazing family and they call me their own daughter and tell me they can't wait for us to get married. I love him soo much the only thing is we've been through so much that I just don't think I can be with him anymore but i can't stand to lose his family. I don't want to lose him either but I get super happy when me and other hotties flirt and i don't feel that way with him anmore. is this normal or should i break up with him?

    Ya I don't know why the family is doing calling you daughter, it's greatthatthey accept you into their family but like ollio said don't let that pressure you. In descisions where you feel pressured it's great to take a break for a day and search your feelings, decide what you want your future to be and go on from there

    Think about it cuz if u break up with him then realize omg i DO like him and he tells u to piss off it'll suck. so compare do you think its worth it to drop him for some fun which probably wont last long?? You decide as for feelings fading thats common (sadly)

    It is only a year and you have some pretty mixed feelings.

    You may really like this family, and they have endeared themselves to you obviously, but I think it is a little much for them to be talking marriage and referring to you as daughter. Seems presumptuous to me, and more than a bit of pressure.

    I can't help to think they have pushed you in a corner where you are expecting yourself to have feelings for the guy you just do not as yet, or maybe ever, have.

    Whatever you decide, take your own time about it.

    buriedalive is right. Feelings fade after a year. They did studies on it. No matter which guy you're with, the honeymoon period will pass.

    I think if you still love him, you should try to make it work. After a year, it's natural you won't feel the same spark with him as you did in the first few months. These things take effort after the honeymoon period's over, it'll happen with any other relationship you get into as well. The only reason I can see to break up with him is if you're not ready for a reltionship with that amount of commitment, and if you want to do that then think long and hard about it first, as if you decide to leave you probably won't et a second chance with him.
