I have dry hands and they crack and bleed a lot. I try to wash them but blood gets in the food and I can't wear latex gloves cause I'm allergic. It's only my boyfriend and son who are eating the food and don't know.
How friggin dry do your hands have to be to CRACK and BLEED?
if this is legit, washing them with more water is gonna just make them MORE dry. Find some good lotion and moisturize those hands.
The meat is going to be thoroughly cooked (I assume), so whatever gets in it from your hands won't matter. Your blood is definitely by far the least potentially hazardous thing that's likely to be transferred to the meat.
I agree with the other responses: if you have such dry skin that it's cracked and bleeding, you need to be washing them less, not more. And as Nikki says, nitrile gloves are hypoallergenic, readily available, and not that expensive.

If your hands are bleeding all the time your boyfriend have surely noticed it too.
My friend used to wash her hands a lot and they were very dry. I agree that you should wash less often and use creams.
Since your hands are so dry, dead skin is probably flaking off, and getting into the food.
Get a nice thick hand cream. Or lotion, if you prefer.
