ever heard the saying "it takes half the time you've been with someone to get over them"? That puts you at 5 years. You're just a year out and 10 years is a looonngg time to really get to know and to get used to someone. It'll be a bit longer before normalcy, but in the meantime go out with your friends, pick up new hobbies, etc. to entertain yourself with.
There is no way it can take me that long. I won't let it. Why should I suffer 5 years when he started dating just 2 months out of it? He obviously left the relationship a long time ago, but didn't have the guts to end it till he had completely let go.
