Men, would you rather have a housewife or a career woman?

Men, would you rather have your woman stay at home and look after the kids/house or go out and make her own money? In both cases your relationship would be happy.

I’d rather have a housewife 21
I’d rather have a career woman 13
I’m a woman, I’d rather be a housewife 6
I’m a woman, I’d rather be a career woman 11

People say it's cheaper to rent women than to own one. I've done the math which confirms the statement. (Assuming that wives want it once every two to three weeks or so). But, this sex for money stuff is just too shallow for me.

IDC whatever they want to do i can be a working man or a stay at home dad. Both exhaust me.

The only way I would be a house wife is if my husband were rich. Seeing as how all the men and women I like turn out to be broke artists, being a career driven woman is the path I must take.

Career woman, housewifes are glorified dependents and no tax credit. This ain't the 50's you know.

Projected to make around 80k in the midwest. That's a good sustainable income for a single child household with two parents. Honestly it's up the the spouse. Hoping that she could potentially work when the child gets to school age so we have extra scratch for long term investments.

Thank you for being investment minded. I get tired of getting endless shit from angry SJWs that know so little math that they cannot even calculate Future Value of an Annuity. (Use 8% for index ETFs where you reinvest your dividends. Fidelity.com has got them. $4.95 per trade.)

Not too many invested minded people anymore. I do not expect to get social security when I'm 60 we got to rip that bandaid off at some point. I normally put down retirement at around 10-11% of each pay stub which will greatly increase overtime and as my salary increases it will be a great payout.

Of course when I retire I expect to do it earlier than most due the savings. I would rather put time into a homestead that I'm also slowly investing money into right now. I'm only 21 been investing monetarily into my future for the last 3 years and don't expect to stop.

Last calculation into my monthly retirement snippet is around 8k a month and as a guy who's been budgeting since 14 I'm going to do very, very well.

Yes you are. I started saving at 21, and retired at 56. You also have got dollar cost averaging working in your favor. Keep the faith dude.

Exactly. Capitalism will reward you if you invest in it. The government does infrastructure, they don't do happiness. Watch out for socialist happy talk. It's empty.

Make money. Unless the daycare costs more than her paycheck. But I don't have kids so that's not a concern.

Better to make long term plans for a just in case scenario.

Housewives can be the master of one trade (or to respect what it means to be one, master - mistress - of many related household skills and responsibilities). I'd much rather that, than a 'career'-driven woman who can't be bothered (or is too tired) to raise kids. No kids is another matter. But raising kids and that includes the home environment, is the most important job in the world - why not get a specialist who also is bonded to them by blood thus motivated? No nanny could replace that, even with a $$$$$$$ income. The western world is becoming saturated with poorly-raised kids and not for the better...

I like your way with words. I also agree with your implication of IIN being a sort of neighborhood pub with a preponderance of INTJs. Suppose a drink would improve my attitude a bit. *clicks glass of beer* Cheers.

With all due respect, lesbians can check two of the four options. Although, if they want a housewife partner while being a housewife themselves, some outside source of income would be needed.

Rather have a housewife, especially if I had kids. It's interesting that that option got so many votes, yet no comments. If it's a happy relationship either way and we're making good money, I don't see why both of us would have to work unless she wants to. It may be wishful thinking in this economy that I would actually be making that much, but if I was, yeah of course I would want a housewife.
