Reading the comments I am not surprised by them. There are a lot of men that wear g-strings they won't admit it for the same reason as I posted. G-strings hold everything in place and you don't even feel like you have them on. For the hair issue brought up, it is always a good item to trim that area unless you like dingle berries. I tried the g string and thong whatever, the problem i find is that if you are a guy with anything close to a somewhat hairy ass you will find they will tend to get caught up in each other. Hairy gets wrapped around thong/g string upon taking them off, and honestly that hurts to pull them off.
