Me and my step sister

I am a girl and when we were younger (kids around 7-8) my step sister and I were playing one day and started exploring each others bodies. It happened a few times again after that and at one point we were curious about kissing and tried kissing. We have never have talked about it, and I just suppressed it. I have been having a lot of anxiety lately and these feeling keep coming up of our childhood and makes me sick, i feel responsible because I'm the older one and gelt I should've known better. We have a good relationship and fairly close sisters but these horrible flashback pop up. Was this innocent exploring or something worse?

    Don't worry it was very innocent. My sister and I did the same thing once and, although I did repress the memory somewhat, I don't think I ever felt too guilty over it. I also once humped stuffed animals with my cousin while my sisters and other cousin tried to sneak into the room to tease us about it. Kids do weird shit.
    Last time that sister and that cousin got drunk with me those ignored memories actually came up and we just laughed it off.

    You'd be surprised how many people have the same issues as you; repressed guilt about such a childhood incident. From what you say, it sounds exactly like innocent exploration (I did the same with the girl next door when I was 8 and she was 10). Perhaps I don't feel guilt because I didn't initiate it, but I have no ill feelings that she did. Neither one of us has anything to feel guilty about, and neither do you. You should set your mind at rest and get on with the rest of your life.
