See monogamy is a broken concept. I would talk to him about it. If my significant other cheated on me I could possibly deal of they told me in a timely manner. But if I found out otherwise I would be pissed and all the trust would be gone. At the very least preserve some of the trust.

It doesnt matter the gender of the person. You cheated plain and simple. This wasn't your best friend. You kissed her back and let things escalate
