Depends on what you mean by "Virtual sex". If it's purely text-based and not using your real names, you're good. have fun. If you're using webcams or sending pics, though, that's extremely risky as your face and body could be used for blackmail or used for sketchy porn sites and fake webcams.

Never use your real name, don't send nudes to people you don't know, even if they send them first and if you must take nudes, don't include your face in the picture.

If it makes you happy sure, I think it's stupid and would never do it. I also reckon it will get unsatisfying after a while kinda like porn. There is no good replacement for the real thing.
