The word MAYBE pisses me off, I've pretty much dealt with people saying maybe to me my whole life, and it bothers me every time, If I ask someone for a yes or no answer, They should give me it, correct? Not stall on the question and test my patience until they tell me no. There is a time and place for maybe, but most the time it just pisses me off.

Is it just me, or are people with me on it.

    For me, maybe demands an explanation. The person asking the question should know the contingencies you are considering and your estimation of their associated probabilities. If you have neither a yes or no due to emotional reasons, it is better to say, "I don't know". If there is a reason for a soft no, just say no but wish them well. If they are impatient and demanding just say, " Tough shit."

    Beyond that, I don't give a fuck.

    'Maybe' is a soft 'no' that avoids confrontation and the social risk of just saying 'no'. Most women and demasculinized men are cowards, and you just have to get used to it.

    Maybe often means no but is delaying the answer, especially if the maybe come from a boss or partner.
