    I have a heavy duty stapler that I use to staple empty folded cereal boxes before I throw them in the trash.

      So introducing metal into the paper recylcing machinery? I'm pretty sure that's not a good idea.

        Good point. But, newsprint is what is recycled. Cereal boxes and corrugated cardboard go straight to the landfill.
