I strongly agree with your thoughts on the attractive appearance of a partners genitals. In my experiences when I have got as far as being naked with my partner I have never sat back to analyse their genitals on a scale of attractiveness. I have simply loved them because it was 'their' genitals.
I'm pretty sure Georgia O'Keefe would argue with you about the beauty of genitals. Just look at her paintings of irises, those sure look like vaginas to me, and they are quite lovely.
