Were they actually enforced in your area? At stores and places there was always a sign that said "masks required" but you'd go in there and atleast 50% of the people werent wearing a mask. At work it was more lik 95% the entire time. No one really wore the masks and sometimes I wonder if it was like that everywhere.
During the pandemic, I've lived in MD and PA and masks were strictly enforced. And people followed it, and I'm glad they did. It was very rare to see someone without a mask.

No, stores were always open (some restaurants did the 2 tables apart thing but that was the closest you'd get) & masks were optional (some stores had the no mask no service signs but they were never enforced)
My favorite is when I visited the local hospital and doctors and nursing staff didnt bother with masks. Now this is the attitude I like to see.
We did have mandates. Then again most bars did not give a shit and our cops are aware of this so they chose not to do anything about it. We got nice cops here.
didn't have any mandates here, though the whole country did a terrible job at doing anything about it.. was very surprised since I had expected something completely different from Sweden XD
