I used to compare myself to girls as well. For as long as I can remember my best friends (and most friends in general) have been girls. I also have a sister, so maybe that's why, but I was always thinking, "Why am i so different? Am i doing something wrong?"
Also I am going to say about the decoration part. You should decorate your room how you want to. Not everyone is the same, (This is an example please don't hate on me) Your friends might have pink walls, and Pony's on the walls, etc. but you might have red walls, with spiderman all over the place. I think that you should not paint your walls pink, and add ponies just because everyone else has them, you should have what you want up there.
