  • Famous 20th century physicist Richard Feynman talks in his book "Surely your joking, Mr. Feynman" about how he used that very approach (you described) with women in bars to get laid. He said it worked enough of the time that it was well worth it, because the approach saved time and money. In a packed bar of many single women, he could get laid using this technique almost every night he tried. Who are we to shrug this result off? Feynman was probably a lot smarter than us. :)
