I just made a similar post yesterday. A bit of insanity is beneficial for creativity and intelligence. Too much and it's hard to use the benefits though.
That's basically what I'm saying. It actually can be adaptive in small doses. Obviously, those who are just walking around town mumbling to themselves or are unable to dress themselves, show up at work, etc. are not likely benefiting at all from their creativity or insights and are probably suffering greatly
