I'm definitely the same :) I consider my pets part of the family, my cat Tom in particular is very special to me. I always give him kisses on the top of his head, cuddle him and talk to him, I don't try to have conversations or anything but I always say how I love him and how cute he is, that he's a good boy etc.
It pays off, I get a LOT of love from him as a result of giving him so much affection <3 The proof that he doesn't just love me for food is that I don't feed him, my mum does. He just loves my company 24/7 XD
