Love/hate friends iin?

ok so i have plenty of very close friends. all of which i been friends with for over 5 years or so. but many of them i need to hang out with but at the same time can't stand them sometimes. it's just some think their so smart or get c*cky about stuff some just don't shut up and act childish and then complain about everything. is it normal for me to just really not like my friends at times?

    I dunno, I've been friends with my best friend for over 10 years and I've wanted to deck her tons of times, but she's still my best friend. Everyones gunna annoy you somehow at some point in your life, including people you like. That's just a sign you need to tell them to leave..

    That's completely normal.
    As you get older and change, some of your friends will have adjusted to be more like you, while some will have gone in the complete opposite direction, and still others may be the exact, immature replicas they were in high school.
    Don't feel bad about it. I'm not saying ditch them or drop them, but realize that you really shouldn't feel obligated to them. At a point, the only thing you'll have in common with some of those old friends are inside jokes from years before.

    Sometimes as you get older you get more discerning. Those hundreds of high school friends get whittled down because - you are getting to know yourself & them and - the fit isn't right so irritates...
