Lost in my own head

I often find myself regressing deep into my own thoughts about life and death. I was raised catholic, however, in sophomore year of highs hook I renounced that faith. I believe much more strongly in our connection to the universe, our direct lineage traced back to the stars themselves.

The more I think like this, the more severe these little burst of "depression" I have become. I'm sad, I know I have no reason to be sad, but I'm still stuck in a mental rut. So how do you guys handle Your innermost thoughts? Do you even handle them at all?

    I think about that kind of thing, but I wouldn't say it makes me sad. What's so bad about coming from stars? I just find it interesting.

    I meditate as well, I think usually you just have to wait it out. I'm interested in what other people have to say about this though because even meditating can't help depending on how bad you feel.

    Yeah, it makes me sad sometimes too. I usually just avoid thinking about stuff like that.
