Loss of confidence after a bad performance, iin?

I don't know why but I just can't seem to hit the right notes anymore, I used to be so good that people would clap me every time, now I'm just unconfident when I sing and I sound like I'm not thrilled to sing, I don't know what to do, I'm starting to hate singing, IIN?

That happened to me while going through puberty and again when I got older. You have to exorcize your voice muscles like the rest of your body if you want to keep them in good shape.
You probably don't know who he is but Don Ameche. He had a great talking voice and said he would read out loud for 3 hours every day. He still had his great voice in his 70's maybe 80's.

Have you been practicing or rehearsing? If not, stop singing live and start practicing and rehearsing until you're "getting it right" with minimal effort. Or maybe you might need a break from singing. Also, practicing and rehearsals should be audio recorded over time, so as to hear improvement and thus increase motivation and confidence.

You have to sing for yourself first above everyone else.

Just have fun with it. If you enjoy it, people will enjoy it. And also there is always someone to hate us, so whatever. Just do your thing.
