It was good for what it was. It was nice experiencing it with someone I really cared about, knowing that it was also special to her, sober and feeling completely ready. Sex is an emotion thing, the first time more than any time. It's not all dicks, vaginas, butts and mouths. I don't know if I'd say my first time was "good sex" in comparison to the sex I've had since that day, but sex is a different beast now with different objectives. My first time was all about taking care of each other and learning how to put the theory into practice. Not much else mattered.
The first time you have sex, all you should really be aiming to do is stay safe (both physically and psychologically). After you've done it a bit more you still want to stay safe, but you also want to try new things once in a while, have fun and express yourself.
