How do you think women feel knowing that there are millions of men who believe that they're entitled to use their bodies as they please? How do you think women feel knowing that those men would force themselves on them without hesitation if they had the chance, because they have no respect for their own personal autonomy? How do you think women feel having to constantly hear just what those men would do to them, from those men themselves? And then they're told they should consider their circumstances! Has it ever occurred to you that we have considered their circumstances and decided they should still be denounced?
People with this kind of toxic attitude don't experience pain and mortification. There are plenty of women who have trouble finding men, but they don't blame men. There are plenty of women who lack social skills, they don't blame men. There are plenty of women who aren't conventionally attractive, they don't blame men. That pain and mortification is a figment of their own imagination. It's self inflicted. It's not legitimate and it shouldn't be treated as such.
You should have anger and rage, but it shouldn't be directed at women or the people who don't respect these men. Here's the two places you should be directing your comments:
1.The men themselves, for having such toxic beliefs. Rather than wasting your time trying to convince people to look at these men differently, you should be trying to convince these men to think differently. To view women differently, to view life in general differently. Again, this is all self inflicted.
2.The toxic society that helps foster their unhealthy, abnormal, and just flat out wrong beliefs. There's a reason why so many men think they're entitled to sex with whoever they want, whenever they want, regardless of how they treat women. Help women dismantle the toxic masculinity soaked into our patriarchal society and some of these men won't think the way they do.
